When you choose to forgive yourself, you are taking the important action of letting go. Specifically, you are letting go of the energies that you no longer want in your reality. You recognize that the individual you are right now can disconnect from a moment, from an experience, a situation, sequence of events, or circumstances that no longer exist. The details of the circumstances that you have yet to forgive yourself have all shifted beyond that moment or series of moments. The individuals, the environment, and the realities have all moved on from that moment. What are you waiting for?
Instead of being stuck in some regrets, anger, sadness, loneliness, or other low vibrational emotion or state, you can choose to let go of that energy so that your beautiful energy can shine. Take a moment to find a reflective surface like a mirror, window, the body of water, or a Black Mirror to take a glance at yourself. Do you love the person who is looking back at you? What would it take to fall in love with that person again? What do you see in that person that they should forgive about themselves?
Remember that the person looking back at you is on this journey for the first time. They have not done this exact moment before, and give them some grace and patience to experience the emotions and excitement of something new. Determine what you really do love about the person that you’re looking at in the mirror. Focus on those strengths and keep being unapologetically you.
Actions to take to fall in love again:
As you remember how powerful your words, thoughts, and decisions are, you might recall that you can choose to love that person in the mirror again. Determine what it would take to be kind to yourself, give yourself grace, or take it easy on you. You might be harder on yourself than anyone ever could be. When you give yourself a break, you start to shift your reality in an incredible way.
What to forgive:
Be specific with what you are forgiving yourself for. The more intentional that you are with your words and thoughts, the more that you make a wonderful difference for your adventure. Each step that you take to make peace with yesterday and decide to move forward will bring you closer to this present moment. Free all of your wonderful energy that you have channeled elsewhere, and focus it on manifesting the reality that you’ve wanted from this moment on. For the next second, minutes, hours, or days, coach that person in the reflective surface on how they can forgive themselves so they can channel their beautiful energy. Speak kindly to them. Encourage them. And take them on the beautiful journey of forgiveness.
