Sometimes people around you want the best for you or want something better for you. Your relationship, your energy, or your presence. It could be something that positively changes THEIR reality. Reflect upon and see if this relationship is a two-way street.
Whether they are coaches, mentors, friends, partners, colleagues, coworkers, or other relationships, consider the impact that they might be having on your beautiful energy. Are they refilling your energy or are they draining your energy? Reflect upon how you feel after interactions or engagement with others.
As beings of energy, pay careful attention to how your energy shifts around others, activities, external influences.
These three categories are large buckets that can provide some insights on how energy moves throughout the day for you. With some people, you'll notice that you’ll enjoy the energy connection. With others, you may feel an uneven transfer of energy. You might pay attention to when YOU are draining someone else’s energy. Notice that the intent may not be malicious in such an exchange. There will be many people in life who raise your vibrations and you enjoy being around them. Keep in mind that these individuals will need to recharge themselves as well.
Some activities such as exercise, cooking, enjoying nature, attending parties, reading a book, and so forth are activities that transfer energy. One could perceive it as a mode of protecting your own energy or absorbing energy from the activities that you’re participating in. Other activities include attending events, participating in a group session, or delivering a performance can be another type of energy exchange.
Consider the energy exchange when someone is in the center of a stage or a field or an arena. They are sharing their precious energy with everyone else and they are receiving that energy as well. The vibrations and energy are incredibly high in concerts and games. The transfer of energy can come in the form of buying tickets, cheering, waving and so forth. Those types of events can lift up your energy or they can drain them. Reflect carefully on how that makes a difference in your reality.
The third category of external influences is a bucket that includes everything else outside of relationships and activities. Energy could be shifted by reading headlines, eating some food, or taking care of errands. These types Of influences can quickly shape or shift someone’s day. As this energy shifts, they project onto others and possibly that energy is reflected back onto them. This creates a domino effect of how their day becomes.
There’s the saying that someone got up on the wrong side of the bed today. You never know when one or two external influences drains your energy and shifts all of the interactions that you have. This type of example happens far more often than we’d like to admit. Sometimes people do sweat the small stuff in life. Sometimes people focus on the things that happened earlier than day and forget that they still have the power to choose how they respond to something.
Once you've acknowledged that there are three buckets of energy drains, you can quickly identify them as they arise in your daily life. Determine for yourself what matters to give energy to. Sometimes an external influence could be breaking a keepsake that has been meaningful to you. Understandably this could put someone in a regretful mood.
Another way to perceive the situation is that it's time to let go and move on. Certain things connect us to certain moments in our reality. We might hang on to a certain memory, a certain experience, a certain person, a certain feeling because it reminds us of different or better times. As long as we believe that reality, we might convince ourselves that this moment can never be as awesome as the other moment.
As certain things fade into memory, it gives us the opportunity to focus on this moment. When you can forgive and let go, then you can recognize how everything around you is eager for your beautiful presence.
